Today's Lunch:  Chicken Patty/Bun, Tater Tots, Roasted Cauliflower, Salad Bar, and Milk.
Tomorrow's Lunch:  Shrimp Shapes, Corn Casserole, Glazed Carrots, Salad Bar, and Milk.
  • We will have a 1:00 dismissal on Friday for Teacher InService.  We will be running on a 1:00 dismissal schedule.
  • There is an FCCLA signup sheet outside Mrs. Choponis's door if you would be interested in being in FCCLA but were unable to attend the meeting this morning.  Please get signed up.  Thanks!
  • MOHAWK VOICES LUNCH is today.  Please report to Art room with your trays during your lunch hour Wednesday if you are on the Mohawk Voices Committee.
  • Seniors: Graceland University Rep will be here 9/20, and University of Northern Iowa Rep will be here on the 5th of October,  10:45 am.  Sign up on Mrs' Cloyed's office door if you would be interested in meeting with any of these Reps.  Thanks.
  • Homecoming will be next week. The week is jam packed with extracurricular events.
  • Monday, 9/19- Bedtime Stories (Pajama Day). Kick off assembly at 8:20 in the gym.  
  • Tuesday, 9/20Guardians of the Galaxy (Dress as your favorite super villain) Assembly with Iron Man Volleyball in the gym during 8th hour. 
  • Wednesday, 9/21- The Great Gatsby (Formal Dress), 6:30 Wednesday in the park, Pastor Flash will hold the opening ceremonies to kick off the evening.  Coronation for the whole community in the park (in case of rain we can move to the old gym), introduction of all students in extracurricular activities at this time, and pie contest/auction in the park. Also, a freewill donation soup supper in the park. Bonfire at the school after the park activities.
  • Thursday, 9/22- Teen Beach Movie (Hawaiian/Beach attire)  Please remember the Dress Code, Thursday, Sept. 15 
  • Friday, 9/23- Friday Night Lights (Dress as your favorite football player, Blue and White), Friday, 9/23- An assembly 8th hour for the cheerleaders. 
  • Saturday, 9/24- HS Homecoming dance 8:00-11:00 p.m.
  • "Nominations for the Secondary TAG Program are now open.  If you have never been in TAG, candidates may be nominated by student self-referral, parent referral, or teacher referral.  Three categories are considered by a selection committee for student candidates: Academic Ability as shown by Standardized Tests, GPA; creativity as recognized by staff and perseverance as recognized by staff.  Student nomination forms, parent nomination forms and teacher referral forms are in the high school office.  Nominations will close by Tuesday, Sept. 20.  If you have questions, contact Mrs. Singley, in the elementary office."
  • TAG students will meet in the ICN Room in two sections every other week on Thursdays.  The first meeting is this Thursday, Sept. 15.  Teachers, please excuse TAG students from Advisory for TAG every other week.  Also, please allow TAG students to go through the lunch line first on TAG days.  The classes will be 11:30-12:15  and 12:15-1:00 depending upon if the student has band or not. Students come to your appropriate section.  Following is a list of 7-12 TAG students at this time: Brianna Beaty, Kaleb Templeton, Wyatt Long, Marshall Albertson, Joy Croteau, Sonja Hanson, Gracie Hoffman, Hunter Arbogast, Logan Perry, Chrystal Albertson, Ashlee DeVore, and Beth Foglesong.  TAG students come to the ICN Room at your time to hear about some new opportunities!!
